I keep thinking about my older guy friend from school who i always hang out with. I realised I have feelings for him but he has a long distance gf which he rarely sees and doesn't talk about. Our calico Maine Coon is 7 and is having serious liver problems. She is jaundiced and has gone from 15 down to 9lbs in a short time. Anyway, they put her on a med that improves liver cell regeneration and a special diet. If it is a tumor/cancer, I know she is done for.

Alas, this was a glitch in the first batch of the Japanese version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl however it was corrected and isn't in any of the other versions and I doubt later copies of the Japanese Diamond and Pearls. Should I be a "helpful" neighbour or should I keep my nose out and ume annonimity?

My neighbours three children (all about 3.. poss. triplets) were out on the street this morning. They had decided to run down to the busy main road at the end of their cul de sac. I went over to try and get them to go home but (short version) they wouldn't go. One had a full nappy falling off. they started playing a game of chasey in the direction of the road. another neighbour (who is a police woman) came out and chased the kids (around the block) while I woke their mother (1 minute politely knocking on the front door). The kids are often on the street without supervision. The police woman has said she is going to call family services and report the mother. The kids usually escape from the back gate which they can obviously open, and although one had his nappy falling off they were in relatively clean clothes and are obviously well fed. I want to take a sliding lock over to the neighbour and suggest she put it on the gate so the kids can't get out without her knowing. I don't think she is necessarily a bad mother, just young and poor. My husband thinks I should keep my nose out of it and the police woman thinks I should report her too... what do you think I should do?

Treatment and care of toe laceration?

So I have a laceration on my toe. It's basically a slice about 1/4" long by 1/8" deep at about a 45 degee angle to the surface of the bottom of my toe right where the joint is. When it first was cut it bled alot... more blood than I've ever seen from a cut of that size. it stopped bleeeding after about 3min elevated and I disinfected with isopropyl alcohol. It appears to be a pretty clean slice. Now I put neosporin on it and a bandaid... well 3 bandaids actually. Trying to keep it dry. My problem is it already reopened once when I was walking and started bleeding again with alot of blood, it stopped with pressure though and seems fine now doesn't hurt or sting and I can still move it fine. I'm just not sure if there's any extra care I should do or how I can keep it from opening again. I can't see the point in going to an ER or similar because I doubt they would do anything different than I already have and I don't have insurance. I was thinking maybe liquid bandage? Any advice?

We have been married for only 10 months. I am 42 she is 40. Since the very beginning she has had internet conversations with other men. When I would find out she would say they are only friends. I would see some of the conversations and from thier point of view it was more than friends. The first one begged her to move in with him and he would give her the world....That one went away after I called him and told him to stop talking to my wife....then only a month later I found that she was talking to her ex boyfriend daily by text messages and phone conversations....hundereds a day....When I approached her about this one she said it was her sister and she had her boyfriends phone...which happened to be the same name as her ex...after more research I found this not to be true.....then she went away for a weekend with her "aunt" to get away from our drama...I was monitoring the cell phone use that weekend...and strangely enough the calls to her "sister" did not exist.....in fact some calls were made to the area that he ex lives in....anyway....this continued for months and months....still the same story....she left me in August of 2009 and moved in with her ex for 2 weeks as friends!!!...came back home and swore to me that she loved me......one month later she moved out again and where she went I dont know....she came back again....and nothing changed...she claimed she was not talking to him anymore....and then the next day I found text messages and emails from him inviting her to his house for Thanksgiving dinner.....she somewhat declined....but then again she had told me the night before that she had not heard from him.....so more.....she left again in December for a week....still I have no idea where she was......but again she came back.....only to deny everything.....again in February I found more text messages from another guy that she had claimed was an old family friend...I said I was going to expose him and she begged me not to becasue it would cause too many problems with his family....his text message as this " I want an all nighter with you".....her answer to this was " I dont "F" people that I dont know".....I think her answer should have been something different....I have found emails to other men that she claims to have known them for years...only to call them and find that she just met them at work.....yea right......right now i have been out of town working for the last 6 weeks.....I have talked to her about 8 times in those 6 weeks.....she will never answer the cell phone or house phone...I went home last week for a 5 day break and she was not at home....she refused to pick me up from the airport.....she came home one time to pick up some cash from me...and then came home again for about an hour to have ....then promised to come home that night...never showed up....she came back the next morning to bring me to the airport and just dropped me off....quickly...my flight was canceled and she refused to come back and pick me up.....she said she thought I was joking when she came home 8 hours later and discovered I was actually back home......it was a bad night....she did not want me there....while i was home alone I found 4 numbers on the caller ID that belonged to other men that she claimed she went to church with.....yes a new church that she would not even tell me about ....I had to find that out on my own.......she claims to be searching for god.....whatever!!!!!....I have not spoke to her for 4 days now......I did send her one email about our taxes....kept it short....and she answered me with a short answer......other than that I am trying to put some distance between us so things might settle down a bit....but it hurts not talking to the person that I love with all of my heart....she has a mive addiction to myspace....facebook...and recently had a profile on myyearbook...which has been deleted.....god I dont know what to do.....I am sure that most of the answers will be to just let her go.....I cant do that easily....I believe in marriage and the vows.....I am still supporting her financially and some say I should stop doing that as well....especially since her income is never despoisted in our joint accout....just mine....she has helped pay one bill in the last 5 months...and that for for only $50.00.......So I await the answers....so many more details....but I think I was long winded enough......

Liver cirrhosis and liver cancer?

My husband has just been informed that he has "slight scarring" on the liver and that his liver is enlarged. I have many questions regarding this, but PLEASE, I am looking for serious-minded answers, not for people telling me that he should stop drinking or other kinds of moralizing; it is hard enough as it is. First: the doctor said "there is slight scarring but no sign of cirrhosis". I don't quite understand this because I though scarring of the liver IS cirrhosis, although it might be at a very early stage in his case. Also, is an enlarged liver the same thing as fatty liver, or could there be other reasons for it being enlarged? Unfortunately, his main health issue is not the liver but advanced heart failure (severe dilated cardiomyopathy) and also COPD. He was told some years ago that he has Hepatitis C but then it was in a dormant state. Could his Hepatitis C have caused the scarring over time even if it has been in a dormant state? Also, when the scarring has started, is it bound continue? His doctor says that his liver is "working", although I'm not sure whether she meant that it is working without any problems or working at a diminished capacity. I have done a lot of reading and it seems to me that he has many of the symptoms ociated with acute liver failure: itching and small red lesions tered over his body, a brief (one day) period of yellow skin and vomiting, periods of flu-like symptoms with fever, loss of appetite, severe sleep disturbances, clay-colored stool, brown urine, and his nails have turned very light. Also, he quit smoking, not because of his own determination but because he lost taste for cigarettes, which apparently is a sign of liver failure. He also bruise and bleed very easily, and he is easily fatigued. Many of these symptoms are of course also ociated with heart disease, but it seems that they have become worse in the last couple of months. His bleeding and bruising can of course be caused by the heavy doses of coumadin he is on, but it seems that the bruising has gotten worse too. He is also getting easy confused and is becoming more and more forgetful. He is 60 years old. So, this is what I wonder: Can the heart disease and/or the COPD have caused the liver disease, or affect it negatively? And vice versa, what effect does the liver issue have on the heart disease and the COPD? His doctor wrote in the last report that there is no sign of ascites but he keeps saying that he feels very bloated and to me it seems like fluid, not fat. He often complain of discomfort in his lower right side and get winded very easily (also a sign of the heart disease, of course). How serious is this liver problem? If in fact he does have acute liver failure due to Hepatitis C, what is the outlook? I don't believe liver transplant is an option in his case due to his advanced heart failure and generally poor condition. If it is left untreated and he continues to drink (he has at least 3 beers and usually a couple of shots of hard liquor per day. I am desperately trying to make him stop or seek help, but I am not able to), what is likely to happen? If scar tissue continues to build up in his liver, how dangerous is it and what kind of life expectancy does he have? Is it a matter of decades or years/months before his liver gives in completely? How do people with this kind of disease typically die, slowly by wasting away or suddenly? If it is not acute liver failure, what else could it be? Does the complications of Hepatitis C always come from cirrhosis/scarring caused by it, or can it cause symptoms independently without leading to cirrhosis? And is scarring always a sign of cirrhosis or can there be other reasons for it? If so, how likely is it that the scarring does lead to cirrhosis (unless it is the same disease just at different stages) How great is the risk of developing liver cancer? Is this risk increased because of his generally poor health or is it determined by other factors? Please, please, any information at all would be of great help. I know that all these questions should be directed to his doctor, but my husband refuses to let me meet her, and he himself seems to live in denial and doesn't want to know anything about his disease. This is my reality, and any information you could provide would be gratefully accepted. Thankyou for reading all the way through this long question.

If they don't hurt, then you're in luck and will pretty much be able to do what anyone without the ailments is able to do with a sword-although it MIGHT be a little more difficult. A lot of bugs are actually quite good for the garden. If you tie a bundle of reeds or bamboo canes together you can make a home for ladybirds which are great for eating greenfly. There are a lot of natural methods you can use but you will never eradicate all the bugs and as I have said some are very good for the garden.

I noticed that my dogs eye was irritated. she is great dane/lab mix and already has "sad eyes" her eyelids droop a little and show a little of her red. A few days ago i notice a little red bump on the bottom of her eyelid. I knew another do who had cherry eye and it is not nearly as severe as this nor has it changed. I have also looked at pictures online and the cherry eye pics dont look the same at all. I dont know if she may have a mild case or if it could be something else. Is science detrimental?

"Science" is amoral. It is neither good nor bad. How science is applied is where morality comes into play. The Nazi's in WWII did lots of scientific studies, but the way they used people for test subjects and the uses they put knowledge to were evil. The only way science could go more negative than positive is in the uses made of science's discoveries. Science is usually held in checks/balances by the society around it, if society gives science more and more power without any checks or balances then the chance for misuse will become greater. I personally believe science must be restrained by some kind of moral guidance, especially as we get more and greater capabilities. If we don't curb it we will find that some applications of science will tend to devalue human life. That is my opinion anyway.

Is my graphic card the culprit?

My computer has a peculiar problem that I have not found a solution for in a year's time. Before my new PSU that I have installed, anytime I would use Photoshop CS2 I would work fine on it for about 15 minutes or less and then my screen would freeze and it would then shortly go black. My monitor would say to check cables as if it was not connected to the graphic card. 2 seperate monitors later I still had the problem. I figured the power supply didn't have enough amps on the 12V rail so I bought a new power supply with plenty enough wattage and a total of 35 amps on both 12V rails. Alright where here's the hum dinger... now it dosen't give anymore problems with photoshop but whenever I scroll too quickly or too much while surfing JUST the internet, it will do the same thing all over again. I know the computer is still running because my music will still be playing without any skipping. My graphic card is a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 512MB DDR. If there are any solutions or answers to this problem PLEASE PLEASE help. I am at my witts end and I am very appreciative of your time.

I can't handle my newborn?

She cries non stop (She does not have colic) I thought i was not getting enough milk so i start supplementing with formula she drinks the formula and then starts crying again. I tried her with a pacifier and she won't take one. I take her for walks and she still doesn't stop crying I try the driving thing and that still didn't work. I live with my grandma & father. My dad is 54 and my grandma is 80. She has pre-dementia and is likely going to have alzeimar's within a year. I can't handle living with her. The constant need for attention, needing help with the same tasks over and over again, asking the same question thirty times... I just can't handle it. I'm about to turn 20 and going into college (took basic cles @ CC for a year). I'm moving in with my uncle to be closer to school & because I really need space from my grandma. Primarily the lattar. I feel very guilty about it because its not her fault - she legitimately needs help. She's not some leech capable of doing things but too lazy to do them. Quite the opposite, she's helped my father out quite a bit financially and she always wants to know how she can help me (but in all honesty, she can't help me with anything except finances and I feel bad for taking that - she can't help me with things like school work, fixing things, etc. - if anything, her help would make those things worse). I feel like I'm abandoning my dad, too... My grandma has caretakers that help take care of her during the week, but other than that my dad wouldn't have any help around the house.

Kids aren't stupid, they know you cant' control the principal and funding to make that happen. And do you really think the administration would allow money to be spent on those things? And shower curtains are so insignificant, they don't care. And when does anyone have time to shower during school anyways? Talk about issues everyone has- hygiene in the bathrooms, littering, bullying, tutoring- stuff you can actually help. And don't just say you'll fix them, say HOW. Show them you have a plan. Talk to your principal ahead of time about doing some of those things to show them you have initiative, they are possible, and you have a plan that is already working. Good luck!

The room's that we need to sand/varnish have the cat flap attached to the door. And for drying purposes the room needs to be left overnight.. They don't use a litter tray and other family members have cat's already so no chance of a cat mini break.

One of the best ways to do this is to use a layer mask. Just select the layer you want to edit, then go to the bottom of the layers palette and there's a on "Add Layer Mask". Click that then make sure you click on the layer mask you just added to that layer. Then select your brush tool with the color black and start painting over what you don't want. The good thing with this is if you go over something you didn't want to take out just select the white and and go back over it and it will come back. It works better than the eraser cause with the eraser you might take out something you wanted to keep.It's pretty easy once you get used to it. If a person says no to premarital the relationship might possibly break down if the other partner wants to have before marriage. If a guy told me that he didnt believe in before marriage, I wouldnt want to be with him. I guess there wouldnt have been unconditional love if one partner left the relationship and when you love someone that much the wouldnt be important. You should stand up for what you believe in, if you dont want before marriage you should make it clear. Specifically, and from what I think I know (so some of this may be factually incorrect) but if in Genesis (re: The Bible) God created a perfect world with Adam and Eve then how exactly did sin enter into the equation to entice Eve (or was it Adam?) to do the "first wrong". So I previously was told that I had CIPA, an incredibly rare genetic disorder that renders me unable to feel pain or sweat. CIPA (also known as HSAN 4) stands for Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis. I was told I had a mild form, because I am able to sweat a little, although not nearly as much as normal people, and I don't have any the autonomic dysfunctions or developmental delays that many people with CIPA experience. Today I went to a different doctor who changed my diagnosis to an even rarer genetic disorder, CIPPA, which stands for Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Partial Anhidrosis, or HSAN 5. HSAN 5 is very closely related to HSAN 4, but there are some differences. The symptoms of HSAN 5 are inability to feel pain, impaired sense of temperature, and mild anhidrosis (anhidrosis is the inability to sweat, mild anhidrosis is...well, you guessed it.) The symptoms of HSAN 4 are inability to feel pain or temperature, anhidrosis, developmental delays, and autonomic dysfunction. I'm extremely happy to have HSAN 5 rather than 4 because most people with CIPA die by the age of 25, while people with HSAN 5 have a normal lifespan, so this is great news. But anyways, let me get to the point. I'm gonna need you to do some math for me because I've got number dyslexia. The prevalence of HSAN 4 is 1 in 125 million. There are 5 HSAN disorders, but the most common one, HSAN 1, will be excluded because it is very different form the other 4 HSAN disorders. The most common one is HSAN 3, followed by HSAN 4, then HSAN 2, and finally the rarest, HSAN 5. The next one, HSAN 2, does not have a known prevalence rate, but according to Orphanet (a medical resource) there are about twenty to forty people in the world with HSAN 2.
